# JACKIE Club Review Unalterable Uriz Sports Experience: Korean-Style Spin and K-Pop

BY**Twosevenths**·2023.03·UPDATED 2026.06

Many people looking to get in shape are turning to spin classes, which not only boost health but also build muscle, improve balance, and make exercise fun with music-driven rides. Beyond traditional spin, Korean-style spin classes are gaining popularity. Unlike typical spin that focuses solely on RPM and resistance, Korean spin incorporates upper-body strength training and K-pop dance moves, allowing you to perform gymnastics and even dance on the bike, adding both fun and challenge. Twosevenths sent a mystery shopper to JACKIE Club, a venue that brings these popular Korean spin classes to Taiwan. Let's see how this Taichung Korean spin venue stacks up!

## About JACKIE Club

About JACKIE Club

JACKIE Club is a Taichung spinning studio located near the HSR Wuri Station. It's the first Korean-style spinning studio in Taiwan to be officially authorized by the popular Korean spinning brand Jackie Cycle, bringing their original curriculum to Taiwan. Their classes are known for blending dance into spinning workouts.

### ✦The Latest Trends from Korea

JACKIE Club instructors receive direct training in Korea, and coaches from the Korean headquarters fly to Taiwan four times a year to teach new songs. Six new song choreographies are updated monthly, allowing instructors to learn new dances online via a dedicated app, so students in Taiwan can learn the hottest K-Pop hits at the same time as they're released in Korea.

JACKIE Club, a Korean-inspired spin studio that incorporates dance into its cycling classes, naturally features K-Pop. The studio regularly offers Korean spin classes themed around various idol groups. During my visit, the classroom was adorned with a wide array of BLACKPINK collectibles, including their vinyl records, making it a must-visit for BLINKs. The instructor also hinted at future specials featuring BTS and other groups, so keep an eye on JACKIE Club's announcements for the latest updates.

### ✦Classroom Environment

JACKIE Club clearly puts a lot of thought into its overall environment. As soon as you step out of the elevator, you're greeted by beautiful plant landscaping and a red spin bike. Inside, you'll change into indoor athletic shoes and store your bag and valuables in a locker. They even provide a thoughtful elastic strap to keep your key securely on your wrist during your Korean-style spin class, which you return afterward.

The venue also provides a NESPRESSO capsule coffee machine for unlimited coffee, so members can chat at the bar before and after classes — no wonder everyone seems to get along so well! The shower space is also incredibly spacious, making it feel like a second home after work, where you can enjoy a refreshing shower and coffee after your workout.

### ✦Class Types

JACKIE Club, a professional Korean spin studio, offers eight types of spin classes, with recommendations tailored to students at different learning stages. If the class schedule seems a bit overwhelming at first, Yu-Jung recommends the "JCO Intro" Korean spin class as the top choice for your first experience.

The JCO class builds foundational movements, helping you get used to the instructor's cues. Most students can ride hands-free after 8 sessions, and if you attend 1-2 times a week on average, you can advance to the next level in just a couple of months! Regardless of your learning stage, the JRX Stretch & Relax class is suitable for everyone. It focuses on stretching movements used in Korean-style spin classes, combining classic yoga poses to relax the body and enhance your performance in subsequent classes.

Once you're comfortable, you can choose between the "JCW Full-Body Muscular Endurance Course" or the "JLO Low-Difficulty — Upper Body Dance" Korean spin classes. The JCW Full-Body Muscular Endurance Course builds stamina through more repetitive movements and bodyweight exercises. According to instructor YI WEI, he built his muscle mass through Korean spin, not weight training, and after completing JCW, his dance moves became more powerful.

The JLO Low-Difficulty class is a great choice if you want to learn more upper-body dance moves and eventually tackle more advanced choreography. For pricing at JACKIE Club, check their official website. Everyone gets two trial classes, so it's a perfect way to see if you like it before committing to a full package.

Parents with children can also sign up for JACKIE Club's kids' classes. It's a great place for kids to burn off energy, ensuring they sleep better afterward, and it's a perfect spot to temporarily let them run free. JACKIE Club is currently working to secure agency rights with their Korean headquarters, and we look forward to more venues becoming available closer to home in the future. As JACKIE Cycle, a Korean-style spin club in Taichung, JACKIE Club is also training more instructors for Korean-style spin classes, allowing even more people to enjoy the fun of Korean spin.

## JACKIE Club Review

JACKIE Club Review

When you first attend a JCO Korean-style spin class, the instructor will ask who's new to Korean spin and show you how to adjust the bike. The enthusiastic regulars are always quick to help newcomers. In this Taichung Korean spin studio, you'll feel the lively interaction between the instructor and students. The instructor is very humorous during class and encourages everyone to shout along; if the class goes quiet, they'll even pause and wait for a response!

### ✦High level of interaction between performers and audience

JACKIE Club prioritizes instructor training, even requiring its Korean-style cycling instructors to take performance training classes. Watching the instructors lead the dance on stage is a real treat, and with the dynamic lighting changes, you'll find yourself moving to the music's rhythm, feeling like you're at a concert, swaying with the stars on stage. With every shout, the stress just melts away.

### ✦No need to worry about falling behind.

JACKIE Club Taichung's Korean-style spin classes make working out fun, and you don't have to worry about difficult dance moves. The instructors adjust the choreography to suit the class, and whenever there's a new move, they'll demonstrate it once, then break it down in slow motion, before putting all the steps together. Just follow the instructions, and you'll feel a huge sense of accomplishment when you can keep up with the music and complete a song!

If you wear a heart rate monitor, you can connect it via Bluetooth to the class screen to track your heart rate and calorie burn. On average, a single class can burn up to 500 calories, making it perfect for anyone looking to lose weight and stay in shape.
