Since the visit was a last-minute decision, Itata rented a pair of OCCON beginner shoes from Senbo, not having brought their own climbing shoes. The rubber soles performed well, and while they were a bit slippery on V2 and above slab terrain, they were more than adequate for beginners. This Taichung Rock Climbing venue sets its routes differently from other gyms: one color represents two difficulty grades. For example, gray tape corresponds to V0–V1. While this simplifies management, climbers need to judge for themselves whether the actual difficulty is appropriate. Senbo's routes primarily feature overhanging walls, with only a few walls leaning towards balance-oriented routes. This means climbing here requires more upper body strength and dynamic technique. Overall, it might not be the most beginner-friendly, but it's definitely worth challenging for experienced climbers.
