B-plus Climbing Gym, located on Huanchung Road in Taichung, was founded by a group of climbing enthusiasts who pooled their resources. Starting in a basement in 2013 before moving to its current location, it's the oldest and longest-running climbing gym in Taichung. Today, it's known as a serious training ground for climbers—don't expect to find any easy routes here.

The Taiyuan branch is a bit smaller but boasts bright lighting and strong air conditioning. The first floor features a 4-meter high wall, while the second floor is dedicated to slab climbing. This location sees more child climbers, and the routes are generally softer than those at the original gym, making it a good spot to check out.

[Dapro Climbing Gym](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/indoors/rockclimbing-taichung-fun/) is located in Taichung's Nantun District. It's a bit of a distance from Wenxin Park MRT Station, so it's recommended to go by scooter or car. The venue offers both top-rope and bouldering experiences. There are five walls in total: two 4.5-meter bouldering walls, a 9-meter difficulty wall, Taichung's current tallest indoor 15-meter difficulty wall, a speed wall, and a Kilter board.

This Taichung climbing venue also features a retail area, a seating lounge, a water dispenser, and a small bar selling beverages, including beer.

Because the space is so vast, there are many routes with a very even distribution of difficulty, ensuring both beginners and experienced climbers will have a great time. The entry fee is on the higher side, and first-time visitors also need to pay a safety inspection fee, but you can take the "top-rope belay" certification test for free, which is a great opportunity for those interested!

The gym has two floors. The front of the first floor features a rare arched structure with a rich variety of routes, utilizing both the ceiling and overhanging terrain. At the back of the gym, there's a 13-meter top-rope wall for free climbing. The second floor has simpler terrain, suitable for warm-ups and practicing basic techniques, but this Kaohsiung climbing gym is only open for classes and not for free climbing. It's ideal for those living nearby who want to bring their children for training.

Like the Shilin venue, it's in a basement and is Hsinchu's largest bouldering gym. The first floor features walls about 4.5 meters high with diverse terrain, especially various overhangs and ceiling routes, plus a small MoonBoard area.

The second floor offers lower walls for Face and Slab climbing. Overall, it requires a bit more strength, so climbers who enjoy steep overhangs shouldn't miss it. Newcomers don't need to worry too much; climbing the lower walls and Slab routes is also a lot of fun. Just a heads-up: the internet signal at this Hsinchu climbing venue isn't great, and there are quite a few mosquitoes!

This climbing gym, which opened in 2022, is located inside the Global Mall A19 department store. You can reach it by taking the High-Speed Rail or train to Taoyuan HSR Station, then transferring to a bus (routes 172, 173, or 707). The venue is very spacious, offering both top-rope climbing and bouldering. The top-rope area has auto-belay devices, so you can climb even if you come alone.

There are plenty of top-rope and bouldering routes, each taking up about half the space. On the second floor, there's even a Kilter Board where you can adjust the angle yourself. The facilities are excellent, and since it's relatively new, the environment and holds are all in great condition. While the ticket price is a bit high and the location is a bit far, it's suitable for climbers of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to veterans!

Hsinchu Fengcheng - Shengli Hall offers bouldering services. Driving is the most convenient way to get there; by public transport, take the train to Zhubei Station and then transfer to a bus. The venue is spacious with excellent lighting, and the white walls are absolutely stunning. There are plenty of restrooms, separated for men and women, and the second floor has showers, changing rooms, lockers, and a lounge area.

The lounge area and climbing area are clearly separated, so it never feels too crowded, even with many people, making it both safe and comfortable. However, the crash pads are a bit firm, so be mindful of that. With varied wall features and a central island, the routes are diverse, with a good number of V3s. We hear they're quite "sendable," but take that with a grain of salt.

This Hsinchu climbing gym is recommended for climbers at V3 level and above. A small bonus: the hand soap and foot wash in the gym are quite luxurious, so be sure to try them out!

Rockdance is a beginner-friendly climbing gym located near Dongshan Train Station. It's not the most convenient location, so driving is recommended. The routes go up to V4 difficulty, and a unique feature is a small roof section that adds an interesting twist to the routes.

The first-floor mezzanine of this Yilan climbing gym serves as a rest area where you can eat and watch others climb. The gym isn't very large, and you can usually complete all the routes in a single day. However, the gym uses many holds of similar colors, which can make routes confusing, so you'll need to carefully read the lines before you climb!

In addition to the bouldering area, Rockdance also offers aerial yoga classes, making it feel more like a community sports center overall.
