## About Red Brick Music Restaurant

About Red Brick Music Restaurant

Red Brick Music Restaurant is located on Jiguang Street near Taichung Railway Station, in Taichung's Old City district, an area rich in distinctive old buildings. With the rise of the creative and cultural trend, more and more people in the vicinity are renovating old houses and transforming them into unique venues. This time, Debbie is introducing a hidden gem: Red Brick Music Restaurant, a stylish [Taichung music bar](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/nightlife/bar-taichung-music/) that has been converted from an old house.

### ✦Venue Atmosphere

Red Brick Music Restaurant takes its name from the 70-year-old brick wall inside the venue. To complement the historic exterior and the name, the venue's facade also features extensive red brick elements. This design creates a style that blends modern bar vibes with old-house charm, all while preserving the unique allure of the historic building. Large glass windows offer passersby a clear view of the live singers inside, often prompting them to pause and take in the lively scene.

Stepping into Red Brick Music Restaurant, the entire right wall is a striking red brick — the very origin of this Taichung bar's name — adorned with guitars and vinyl records, hinting at the performance to come. Though the venue has a limited number of tables, the seating feels spacious, not crowded. With about six tables, every spot offers a clear view and sound of the live singer, and there are also several bar seats if you prefer chatting with the bartender.

Beyond the full red brick wall, Red Brick Music Restaurant also retains other traces of its historic building. In the restroom, a skylight and the adjacent sink are original features from the Japanese colonial era, a rich history that Debbie couldn't resist capturing in several photos. Through this thoughtful renovation, Red Brick Music Restaurant successfully projects the image of a comfortable and stylish [Taichung music bar](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/nightlife/bar-taichung-music/).

### ✦Cocktails

Now that we've covered the venue's ambiance, let's dive into what everyone cares about most: the cocktails!

Red Brick Music Restaurant offers a wide selection of cocktails, and Debbie finds it particularly unique that they're all named after songs, perfectly fitting the music bar vibe. Plus, Red Brick keeps only its most popular cocktails each season, refreshing the entire creative drink menu, which always brings Debbie new surprises. Red Brick's cocktails never use artificial essences or flavorings; even their syrups and fruit liqueurs are house-made. As someone highly sensitive to artificial flavors, Debbie simply can't resist Red Brick's fruit-based cocktails! She highly recommends them to anyone who, like her, dislikes fake fruit flavors.

### ✦Live Band Performance

After you've eaten and had your fill, the main event begins: the live band. Red Brick Music Restaurant features resident singers every night starting at 10 PM. There's one set on weekdays and two on Fridays and Saturdays, playing until almost 1 AM, ensuring you get your fill of great music! Many patrons even check the live band schedule specifically to catch their favorite singers perform live and show their support. There's also a tip jar on-site, so you can show your appreciation for a great song!

## Red Brick Music Restaurant Experience Review

Red Brick Music Restaurant Experience Review

Red Brick Music Restaurant's seasonal menu and drink list are among the reasons Debbie keeps coming back. The chance to hear live bands up close and even interact with the singers creates a chill, welcoming vibe. Debbie loves coming here with friends, where they can chat or just quietly enjoy the music without any awkwardness. It's also a great spot to sit at the bar if you're flying solo and fancy a drink, and Red Brick's bartenders are always up for a good conversation.

### ✦Delicious Food｜Seasonal Menu Updates

Debbie's cocktail of choice that day was "Elegy," a gin-based drink with citrus notes. What Debbie loved most was the elderflower, which gave it a slightly herbal, complex, and unique flavor—highly recommended for those who enjoy aromatic cocktails. Another favorite of Debbie's is Red Brick's tea-infused cocktail series. For those who prefer neat drinks, Red Brick also offers wine and whiskey. And if you're the designated driver, there are non-alcoholic cocktails to help you feel tipsy in spirit. Whether you're looking for a light buzz or a full-on (kidding!) night out, Red Brick has you covered.

After-work drinks shouldn't skip the food, and beyond its cocktails, Red Brick Music Restaurant's menu is also a favorite of Debbie's. The menu at Red Brick Music Restaurant updates seasonally, and this time Debbie ordered the Tomato Garlic Toast. The presentation alone was stunning, perfect for an Instagram story! The three different colored tomatoes not only looked beautiful but also offered a delightful tartness that, paired with the garlic aroma, kept Debbie and her friend coming back for more. A meal and a cocktail at this Taichung bar on a Friday night after work is all it takes for a wonderful, tipsy evening.

Debbie reminds everyone that Red Brick Music Restaurant's menu changes seasonally. While popular dishes and creative cocktails remain, other items are rotated out, so if you find a dish or cocktail you love, be sure to enjoy it while you can. If you really miss a cocktail from a previous season, you can always ask the bartender if they can still make it for you; if they happen to have the ingredients, you might just get lucky.

### ✦Folk Music Style｜17 Live Bands Perform in Rotation

Red Brick Music Restaurant's song style leans toward folk, with 17 different live bands performing in rotation. Tonight's performers were a guitar duo, with beautiful guitar work and vocals. Best of all, the live band's volume is just right, so it's perfect whether you want to listen quietly or chat with friends. Don't be shy about requesting songs, either—you can ask for them directly.

Even if you're a regular, every visit offers a fresh experience. Sometimes, after work, Debbie feels like a drink and might encounter a lively singer who chats with the guests, so even if you go alone, you won't feel lonely! Being able to enjoy a live band up close, along with great food and cocktails, truly makes it a wonderful place to unwind.

### ✦Someone's Treating!｜The Fun Bell-Ringing Culture

Red Brick Music Restaurant also has an interesting bell-ringing tradition, but if it's your first time, don't just ring the bell on the wall!

This comes from an overseas bar tradition, where many bars install a bell by the counter. Some use it to signal last call, others to announce a large tip. If you happen to hear someone ring Red Brick's bell (Debbie hasn't yet), you're in luck—it means someone is buying drinks for everyone in the venue! If you're at Red Brick Music Restaurant for a company dinner, don't forget to egg on your tipsy boss to ring the bell (just kidding).
