### 羽 Sake About the Venue

Introduction

Ha Sake, a Taipei Sake Bar on Guangfu South Road, offers a unique "1+1" sake-and-food pairing experience that adds an interactive twist to enjoying Japanese sake. The venue's quiet, comfortable ambiance makes it an ideal choice whether you're unwinding solo or gathering with a few friends.

The ordering system centers on a "1+1" combination, where each glass of sake is paired with a delicate small dish. For those eager to explore a wider range of flavors, a three-glass tasting flight is also available, allowing you to discover the subtle nuances between different sakes.

Ha Sake features a full glass wall design that emits a warm, inviting glow at night. Though the space is intimate, it feels like a relaxing secret hideaway. Given the limited seating, reservations via their official Instagram are recommended before visiting.

A standout feature of this venue is that guests are welcome to bring their own food, and a professional sake sommelier will provide pairing recommendations based on your selections. Additionally, the venue is dedicated to promoting sake culture, not only by offering a diverse selection of regional Japanese sakes but also by regularly hosting tasting events with Japanese brewery artisans.

#Savoring Japanese sake in a warm atmosphere is instantly addictive

REVIEWED BY [Bryan](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/tag/Bryan/)

EXPERIENCED · 2025.07.24

For Bryan, Ha Sake evokes a contradictory feeling: "I want to shout about it to all my friends, but I also selfishly want to keep it a secret." It's more than just a place to drink; it's a space where you can relax and slow down. Sake here isn't an unapproachable high-end culture; it returns to everyday life, becoming the perfect choice for "tonight, I want to treat myself."

Though the space is small, it boasts warm lighting and a comfortable rhythm. Everything from the seating arrangements to the service style is just right, making you feel at ease and unconstrained. What impressed me most was the owner. He's not only professional but also recommends sake in a friendly, approachable manner—enthusiastic without being overly aggressive, which makes for a very pleasant experience. And the dog in the venue is an unexpectedly therapeutic presence.

Overall, whether you're a sake novice or a seasoned connoisseur, you'll find your own joy here. The only thing to remember is that it tends to get crowded on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Otherwise, you'll end up like Bryan, with only one thought after finishing a glass: "I want to come back again!"

#Heartwarming Sake and Hospitality in a Taipei Alley

REVIEWED BY [Lotus](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/tag/Lotus/)

EXPERIENCED · 2025.12.08

If you're looking for a comfortable place to enjoy sake in Taipei's alleys, PS SAKE BAR is definitely a top choice. Pushing open the unassuming wooden door, you're transported to a late-night izakaya on a Japanese street corner. Warm yellow light illuminates the bar, and the intimate space brings people closer together.

The chef is right there at the counter, ready to answer any questions you have about sake, from flavor profiles to brewing methods, with detailed and gentle explanations. While the menu isn't extensive, every dish is a perfect accompaniment to sake. The steaming yuzu pepper ramen is fragrant, the fried chicken cartilage is crispy and addictive, and the fluffy, smooth baked yam omelet offers a delightful palate cleanser.

The single-glass sake pours here are generous, a full 90 ml, with a diverse selection ranging from honjozo and junmai daiginjo to fruit liqueurs and sake cocktails. That evening, Lotus chose a fruity, sweet Fudo Fukurotori Junmai Daiginjo, while a friend preferred the rich flavor of the venue's house-made plum wine.

What truly stands out is the unexpected thoughtfulness. When Lotus accompanied a friend outside, the owner actually handed out two cups of hot tea from the window. This delicate gesture instantly warmed the cool night. This Taipei Sake Bar is not just a professional dining spot for enjoying sake; it's a cozy place where you can let your guard down, perfect for sharing a relaxed time with a few good friends.

# Savor sake and art in the quiet calm of a Showa-era kissaten

REVIEWED BY [Lotus](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/tag/Lotus/)

EXPERIENCED · 2025.10.03

Stepping into Qiuxiang Sake Bar, you don't feel like you've entered a bar at all, but rather a Showa-era kissaten. Amidst the warm wood tones and dim lighting, the air is free of clamor, filled only with soft conversation. This was Lotus's third visit to a Taipei Sake Bar, and it stood out as the most uniquely atmospheric, compelling you to slow down and immerse yourself in the moment.

The bar offers only three small plates, but each is exquisite. The seared mullet roe and scallops, a Chinese-inspired snack, deliver a delicate char and sweet oceanic flavor that unfolds beautifully on the palate. A later addition, the lightly spicy popcorn, was a delightful surprise; its unexpected spice notes cleverly intertwined with the sake's rice aroma.

The highlight of Lotus's evening was a glass of Ichinoya Kimoto Junmai Ginjo. It carried an elegant mineral essence, with a sweet, fruity finish that seemed to harmonize perfectly with the tranquil ambiance of this Taipei Sake Bar. The signature cocktail, White Sakeroni, began with a touch of sweetness from the white chocolate rim, followed by the refreshing aroma of melon and a light alcoholic kick—a truly gentle concoction.

At Qiuxiang, enjoying sake becomes a serene sensory journey. There are no boisterous toasts, just nuanced flavors and peaceful moments, making it a place you'll want to revisit again and again for its unique tranquility and taste.

#Dunnan's Hidden Gem: Exclusive Sake and Heartfelt Hospitality

REVIEWED BY [Lotus](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/tag/Lotus/)

EXPERIENCED · 2025.09.27

Stepping into Senn Sake Dining Bar, the most striking feature is undoubtedly the wall of sake bottles, many of which are exclusive to the venue. This was Lotus's second visit, and the gentle hum of conversation, punctuated by the clink of ice against glass, still created a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

The sommelier gently inquired about the group's preferences. Learning that Lotus favored a sweeter profile, they recommended the highly popular, fruity "Little Sun Summer Sake." Served in a narrow-necked bottle, its concentrated aroma wafted up invitingly, and with the first sip, a smooth, sweet flavor glided down, bringing a refreshing coolness to the summer evening. The food here was as elegant as remembered, with modest portions perfect for a few friends to share a few dishes alongside a 300mL bottle of sake, enjoying a pleasant buzz.

The warmest memory of the evening was when, with glasses empty but conversation still flowing, the venue quietly brought out a complimentary plate of french fries. There was no rush, just a perfectly timed gesture of hospitality that left a lasting, warm impression, much like the mellow sake in the glass, on the heart of this gathering.

#Enjoy refined sake and small plates in a discreet setting

REVIEWED BY [Finale](https://www.twosevenths.com/en/tag/Finale/)

EXPERIENCED · 2025.10.01

Stepping into Nihonshu Sakespace is like entering a giant sakazuki cup. The venue's minimalist palette of deep blue and pure white, from the indigo noren at the entrance to the walls, subtly echoes the classic symbols of sake appreciation, setting a professional yet serene tone for this journey of taste.

For this visit, Finale experienced the venue's sake-pairing set menu. The subtle kick and crisp texture of the wasabi octopus, and the rich, savory depth of the mullet roe and cheese, created a wonderful harmony with the sake. The owner here acts more like a guide, meticulously introducing the character of each sake on the shelves, from light, fruity notes to rich, full-bodied brews with deep umami, helping guests find their perfect match. A delightful detail is that after serving, the owner leaves the bottle on the table for a moment, allowing drinkers to examine the label and its terroir story, deepening the appreciation.

This Taipei Sake Bar is intimate, with seating at the bar or a communal long table, naturally bringing people closer. In the dim space, the low murmur of conversations and the gentle clink of ice against glasses intertwine, creating an exceptionally close atmosphere. More than a romantic spot for two, Nihonshu Sakespace feels like an urban living room for fellow sake enthusiasts, where, amidst the warm aroma of sake, stories and tastes are shared, leaving you eager for your next visit.
