If you spot a white container house with a path of pebbles and greenery next to it, you've arrived at Heyhey Dive! ### ✦It has its own pool for dive instruction. Heyhey Dive's Xiaoliuqiu flagship venue exudes an exotic, resort-like atmosphere, with its swimming pool being the standout feature. The long, narrow pool provides an excellent environment for students to learn and train, whether they're practicing static apnea or breath-holding, allowing them to safely push their limits while enjoying Freediving in Xiaoliuqiu. ### ✦Learn to dive in comfort The pool is flanked by outdoor and indoor seating areas. The outdoor section has umbrellas, so you don't have to worry about getting dizzy from Xiaoliuqiu's intense sun. The indoor area is filled with sofas and beanbags, providing a relaxed space for students to attend classes or unwind. The showers are located at the very back of the venue. There are plenty of them, and they are very clean, complete with toiletries, offering a comfortable place for everyone to freshen up after a swim. ### ✦Expect innovative, fully equipped dive gear. The equipment area is housed in a white container, where Heyhey Dive keeps its gear neatly organized and separated into scuba and freediving sections. This prevents students from crowding together when retrieving equipment for their respective classes. Beyond the new equipment, wetsuits, BCDs, fins, and masks each have their own designated areas. Booties are also clearly sized, making it easy to find what you need at a glance. ### ✦Scuba Diving Courses Heyhey Dive, originally known for Freediving in Xiaoliuqiu, has upgraded its flagship store to offer both freediving and scuba diving courses, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Students can choose courses based on their needs, but all require prior online registration and booking. All theoretical courses are conducted in person, as Heyhey Dive believes that face-to-face instruction offers significantly better quality than online learning. After your course, Heyhey Dive also offers group practice sessions with an instructor on hand for supervision and assistance, so you never have to worry about not having a place to practice if you don't pass the certification. Please note that the course fee does not include accommodation or transportation to Xiaoliuqiu. However, when you register for the course, you can inform the administrator if you need assistance booking accommodation, ferry tickets, or scooter rentals. If you have a preferred place to stay, you are welcome to book it yourself. ### ✦The pool transforms into a bar at night. By night, Heyhey Dive transforms into the Heyhey Lounge Bar. The seating area offers open-air outdoor tables by the pool, or warm-toned indoor private rooms. Before the lesson, the Heyhey Dive instructor assessed Calista's skill level. Hearing that she hadn't scuba dived in a long time, the instructor confidently reassured her, saying there was no need to worry as they would be right by her side, ensuring everyone's safety. The waves were quite strong on the day of the scuba diving experience, and Calista often found herself unsteady as she descended. Her instructor held on tightly throughout and constantly reminded her of the next steps, which made her feel very secure. Underwater, there were no major issues. The instructor leisurely guided her to see sea turtles and even posed for photos alongside them, making the entire experience relaxing and comfortable for Calista. ### ✦Freediving Fun Dive The next day was all about Freediving in Xiaoliuqiu Fun Dive. Calista had spent five months in Xiaoliuqiu previously, freediving almost every day, so there was no nervousness, just pure anticipation. That day, the owner Xiaohei and another instructor took me into the water. Since I just wanted to enjoy a simple, fun dive, the instructors let Calista experience the ocean at my most comfortable pace. Even so, safety was never overlooked. It’s worth noting that Calista used to get scolded by instructors for being too slow when taking off her fins before getting out of the water, so she’d always feel a bit nervous, worried about being knocked over by a wave. This time, however, the instructor patiently waited for her to remove her fins and stand steady before moving on, which was incredibly reassuring! When Calista visited Fun Dive, she chatted with the owner, Xiaohei, about their shared love for Freediving in Xiaoliuqiu. They both enjoy the feeling of swimming freely and comfortably in the ocean, just like fish—and that's precisely the experience Heyhey Dive's Xiaoliuqiu flagship venue aims to provide.
