SNOWIN Taichung is located within the Park Lane by CMP complex, right off Taiwan Boulevard. It's about a ten-minute bus ride from Taichung City Hall MRT Station.

Once upstairs, you'll see the ski machines and the reception counter. The venue provides drinking water, sports drinks, and password-protected lockers for personal belongings. However, because it's an open space with other entertainment venues nearby, passersby may stop to watch lessons, and the area can be quite noisy.

This Taichung Ski School offers both snowboard and ski lessons. Before your lesson, you'll need to reserve your preferred board type and time with the venue, and your booking is confirmed only after a deposit is paid. Children must be at least four years old to attend lessons. Group classes typically have 2-5 students, and the pace of instruction may vary for each student based on their individual learning progress.

I was so excited to try the giant ski simulator at SNOWIN, a Taichung Ski School, that I practically ran to the counter, eager to hit the slopes!

After getting geared up, the instructor showed us how to put on and take off our skis. We did some basic ground training, then moved to the dry ski slope. The instructor observed our progress there before we transitioned to the ski simulator.

During my lesson, since it was my first time, I hadn't quite mastered braking and controlling my descent. I accidentally got stuck in the safety barrier at the back, making a loud noise that startled everyone. Fortunately, the instructor immediately stopped the machine, so I was fine, and they came over to check on me afterward.

After the lesson, I felt this was a place where anyone, adults and children alike, could easily learn to ski. The teaching style is relaxed and enjoyable, and the instructors constantly monitor students' movements to ensure safety.

Veena's experience at iSKI Ski School's Taichung Nantun location was a Taichung Ski School introductory class, and it was incredibly beginner-friendly, much easier to pick up than expected. She booked her time slot through the official website and arrived about 20 minutes early. The front desk staff helped her get acquainted with the venue and the equipment fitting process. Besides ski boots, helmets and basic protective gear are also provided, so first-timers won't feel overwhelmed.

Once the class began, the instructor started with the absolute basics: putting on and taking off the skis, proper stance, and balance, then gradually introduced control techniques and important considerations for gliding. Mirrors positioned above the practice slope allowed for real-time self-correction, and the handrails provided extra support, minimizing worries about falling. This greatly reduced the psychological pressure for beginners. The instructor also adjusted the teaching pace to each individual's progress, offering constant corrections and advice on movements, so there was no pressure to keep up.

Taichung Ski School offers both ski and snowboard lessons. You'll need to confirm your lesson content with the venue before class. Lessons are available privately or in groups. Private lessons accommodate up to two people and can be scheduled at any time. Group lessons are for two or more people, with times arranged by the venue, and are confirmed upon deposit payment.

CITY SKI, a Taichung Ski School, offers a surprisingly large and comfortable indoor space, much like a basketball court. After checking in and confirming our identities, the staff explained the lesson flow.

This particular lesson included Aga, a mother, and two children. The instructor began by teaching everyone how to put on their gear. Throughout the lesson, the instructor was engaging and particularly patient and attentive with the children, simplifying instructions for things like gear precautions and snowboard usage to make them easy to understand.

Aga initially found the ski machine challenging, struggling with balance and foot pressure, which led to frequent falls. However, with the instructor's guidance and practice, even elementary school students quickly got the hang of it, making this a beginner-friendly Taichung Ski School.
