While a one-night stay with two meals and a hot spring experience leaves little room for other activities, the profound sense of satisfaction and relaxation it delivers earned it high marks from our mystery shopper, Hermione. The famous Dogashima Cave is also nearby, and a boat trip to see this cool natural wonder comes highly recommended.
Dinner is a leisurely Japanese kaiseki meal, generous in portions and rich with local seafood, including Nishi-Izu's iconic kinmedai (splendid alfonsino). The freshness and flavor are truly memorable. The dining room faces the ocean, and watching the sunset dip into the sea while you eat, with the light and colors of the ocean changing with each passing moment, naturally slows your pace and fully immerses you in a vacation state. Plus, the staff even prepared turn-down service while we were at dinner—a truly thoughtful touch!

The venue provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from the station, which is a great convenience for travelers without a car.
The rooms themselves aren't huge, but they are impeccably clean and tidy, with a simple yet comfortable layout. While there's only a toilet in the room and no separate shower, this doesn't detract from the experience at all, because the real highlight is the private open-air bath. Soaking in the hot spring while snow falls and you gaze at the snowy mountains—it's a truly moving and healing travel moment.

However, the hotel also features a large public bath and private family bathrooms (though the hot water there is not from the hot spring).
