My stay at Island Arch Inn came about through a stroke of luck. I arrived in Penghu a day earlier than my friends, so I booked this Penghu Accommodation on my own. It turned out the venue doesn't actually offer single-person stays; I only managed to book it due to a loophole in the booking site's settings, making me the only solo traveler the owner has ever hosted!

This led to many conversations with the owner, and I could tell she's an incredibly warm and welcoming person. When I encountered issues later, she was always the first to help, and she was eager to share various Penghu itineraries and restaurant recommendations.

Later, when I needed to arrange transportation, I found that using the venue's partner car service was at least NT$100 cheaper than hailing a taxi myself. Chatting with the driver, I even learned about the best spot to watch the Penghu Fireworks Festival, which was incredibly valuable!

After check-in, guests are led to a common area to pick up amenities. This area requires a room key card for entry, ensuring security. Uniquely, this Penghu Accommodation also offers small packets of shrimp crackers for guests to sample, which can be purchased directly from the inn if desired.

Jessica stayed in a deluxe double room, which featured a calm and cozy style. The balcony offered direct ocean views, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze and relaxing. However, guests concerned about insects might want to use mosquito repellent or a mosquito lamp from the common area first.

While the bathroom isn't fully wet/dry separated, it does have a curtain for division, and the hot water supply is ample, perfectly washing away the fatigue of a day of fun. Overall, the soundproofing is a bit lacking, but earplugs are provided, so it's not a major issue.

The moment you step into Linhaiju Resort, its stylish design makes an impression, with a mix of different color blocks that create a sense of calm, like coming home.

While choosing amenities, Jessica discovered that they even provide body lotion refill packs, a rare find among Penghu Accommodation options, which was a thoughtful touch for someone prone to dry skin.

Arriving late for check-in, the front desk staff were very friendly, introducing the facilities and recommending various local Penghu delicacies. Beyond the much-anticipated Penghu shrimp crackers, the squid sauce was particularly amazing. Jessica immediately used the discount vouchers provided by the resort to buy a variety of souvenirs, pairing them with refreshing vinegar—a delicious combination she still craves.

Before check-in, the assistant called to confirm the arrival time, which greatly reassured Jessica, who was trying a self-service inn for the first time. This visit was for a quad room on the second floor, where sunlight streamed in through the windows during the day, combining with the indoor lighting for a bright and airy space.

The bathroom was simple and clean, equipped with towels, shower gel, and shampoo. The wet/dry separation made it easy to keep the room tidy. Plus, both sides of the two large double beds had power outlets, making it convenient no matter which side you slept on.

Jessica felt this Penghu Accommodation was perfect for groups looking to book an entire inn. The spacious lobby features a bar design, a large TV, a big sofa, and a refrigerator, making it ideal for friends to grab some late-night snacks and drinks and enjoy them together in the common area.

Although it's a self-service inn, any questions during the stay can be sent via LINE to the assistant and receive an immediate response, ensuring a smooth experience.
