Hatai Thai Restaurant is located on the second floor of the Qingguang Market, boasting a modern, Instagrammable exterior and numerous photo-op walls inside, perfect for snapping beautiful pictures and enjoying a relaxed meal with friends. Yen was very pleased with the excellent service and quick food delivery.

Yen ordered the two-person set meal, which was more than enough for two women. The Thai rice pot and dish presentations were thoughtfully designed, but what truly impressed Yen was the money shrimp cakes. These round, coin-shaped cakes had a thick, satisfying filling.

The Thai milk tea was perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the tamarind juice offered a pleasant sweet-and-sour taste, ideal for cutting through richness. The basil pork and green curry in the two-person set were solid, neither too spicy nor too salty, making them perfect for pairing with rice. Overall, the portions and price of this Taipei Thai Cuisine venue are excellent, making it a great choice for a date or a meal with a friend.

At Lemongrass Kitchen Thai Restaurant, we ordered their signature thick moon shrimp cakes and tom yum fried rice, along with stir-fried morning glory with shrimp paste, green papaya and pork rib soup, and Thai milk tea.

The staff were very friendly and proactive in their service. Dishes arrived at a good pace, one by one, so we never felt rushed. The overall decor is dimly lit, creating an upscale Thai restaurant atmosphere that feels relaxing the moment you step inside.

While the signature thick moon shrimp cakes were indeed thick, the fish paste flavor was a bit too strong for Yen's liking. The tom yum fried rice, famous for its awards, had Yen's expectations high, but it lacked wok hei and aroma, and was on the sticky side. However, the portion was quite generous, suitable for 2-3 people. As for the Thai milk tea, it had less tea flavor and was quite sweet, perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

In summary, the food was a bit disappointing for Yen. However, if you've been shopping at Breeze Center and are looking for Taipei Thai Cuisine, this venue is a good choice for an upscale Thai dining experience.

The hot pot ingredients were fresh overall. Yen initially found the tom yum broth not spicy or sour enough, but a staff member promptly brought extra seasonings for them to adjust to their liking, which Yen appreciated as very thoughtful.

The green curry broth was rich and fragrant, perfect with rice. The accompanying vegetable platter was generous, featuring water spinach, broccoli, and baby cabbage. Yen particularly enjoyed the à la carte crispy bean curd rolls, which were ready to eat after just three seconds in the pot, offering a layered and juicy texture that left a lasting impression.
