This hidden gem in Taichung specializes in lemon cakes, which are incredibly popular. Reservations typically require calling two hours before opening, and this time, it took over a hundred calls to secure an order.

Upon picking up the cake, the staff professionally explained all the care instructions. Before we left, an employee even came over to correct how we were holding the cake, clearly concerned that this beautiful work of art might be damaged.

The cake itself has an aroma as delicate and elegant as its appearance. Once sliced, the white cream filling inside is utterly irresistible. The venue's decor is elegant and comfortable, blending Japanese and Chinese styles. Chen Yun Bao Quan offers a diverse range of products, including traditional Chinese pastries, full-month gift boxes, Western desserts, and wedding cakes. This Taichung souvenir venue has several branches, with the Ningxia Road and Dalian Road locations being particularly popular souvenir hubs. The venue interiors are bright and clean, with neatly arranged products and exquisite packaging, making them ideal for both gifting and personal enjoyment.

This Taichung souvenir specialist is known for its mille-feuille cakes. The venue offers a diverse selection, including round cakes, mille-feuille cakes, and square cakes, each with its own unique flavor. They even feature seasonal strawberry and mango cakes.

The cakes emphasize delicate flavors and textures, such as the "Earl Grey Rum Cake" from the mini series. Its distinctive Earl Grey tea aroma is delightful, and when you slice into the cake, you'll find finely ground rum particles evenly distributed throughout.

For the King series of rectangular cakes, we recommend the "King Tieguanyin Gosan-yaki." Roasted Tieguanyin tea is ground into a fine powder and then kneaded into the dough before baking. Staff members move busily through the venue, expertly packaging golden Nagasaki Castella cakes for customers. The air is filled with a rich cake aroma, making you eager to taste it immediately.

This Taichung souvenir venue focuses on just one product: the original Nagasaki Castella. Yet, this seemingly simple cake attracts countless gourmands. The coarse sugar settled at the bottom is a signature feature of Banshin Honpo, adding a unique textural layer to the dense cake.

The venue adheres to traditional Japanese methods, using only the simplest, purest ingredients: fresh eggs, imported Japanese white sugar, and high-quality flour. The Golden Q Cake features a rich, savory cheese crust, with cheddar cheese added to the filling for a sweet, salty, and flaky texture. The chewy mochi inside is simply irresistible.
