This time, Piggy Mama brought her son to experience a men's haircut, and it was clear the Savages Barber stylist was incredibly professional. After understanding his needs, they got straight to work, finishing the haircut in about 30 minutes—quick, meticulous, and with clean, sharp lines.

During the service, Piggy Mama asked questions, and the stylist patiently answered them all. They even thoughtfully warned her beforehand about potential hair clippings while blow-drying, which was a big plus.

We also tried the "scalp purification" treatment. The stylist meticulously applied a gel-like product to the scalp and performed a scalp massage, softening oil buildup and removing deep-seated keratin for a thorough, refreshing cleanse from the inside out. It's perfect for guys who tend to sweat a lot.

Impure Men's Barbershop has a distinctly adult vibe with its decor and furnishings. While they do offer a father-and-son package, it might be a bit much for kids (chuckle).

Soon after we arrived, the venue's resident cat, "Boss Lady," came out to greet us. She's a calm, affectionate companion, making the wait feel much more pleasant. The venue even thoughtfully provides lint rollers so guests can tidy up before they leave.

The stylist was incredibly friendly and meticulous, easy to chat with, and explained their design considerations throughout the process. However, this also meant the service took longer; the haircut alone lasted over an hour. The stylist next to us seemed more experienced and worked quickly, so if you're in a hurry, it's worth mentioning that to the venue beforehand.

Twosevenths mystery shopper Dongnan Lung's experience at End Result Barbershop lasted about 1.5 hours. Before the haircut, the barber carefully observed Dongnan Lung's original hairstyle, then began cutting at a measured pace. After each section, they would step back to observe, then refine the cut two or three times.

Initially, Dongnan Lung worried they might have a new barber, but chatting with the venue revealed this meticulous approach ensures every customer leaves with their most satisfying hairstyle.

Knowing that American pompadours weren't his style, James brought some photos of British pompadours for the stylist to reference. She meticulously discussed the examples, repeatedly confirming the desired look.

The precision of the stylist was evident in the final carved lines during the haircut. Different tools were used for the larger and smaller lines, and the final line work alone took ten minutes, perfectly capturing the essential clean lines of a British pompadour.

James also opted for an additional hair wash, but the washing technique at this Taichung barbershop was quite simple, without any massage service. The entire haircutting process took about 30 minutes.

During the process, when working on the hair near the face, the barber thoughtfully used a disposable plastic face shield. This not only catches stray hairs but also prevents any discomfort from hair sticking to your face.

Dongnan Lung also tried the Coral Scalp Treatment, a product the stylist recommended for those with high scalp pressure from work stress or sensitive scalps, noting its excellent efficacy.

A word of caution: this venue is very popular, so it's not advisable to try to book on the same day or just walk in. Dongnan Lung learned this the hard way when trying to book a morning appointment, only to be told the next available slot was a week away!

For my visit to FADEMASTER Barbershop, I called ahead that morning to book an appointment. When I arrived, I checked in at the counter and was seated immediately. There were three groups of walk-in customers waiting, so I recommend booking in advance to avoid a wait.

I don't usually have bangs, so after the barber's analysis and recommendations, I decided on an American pompadour. The haircut was quick yet meticulous, giving a very professional impression. Afterward, I moved to the shampoo area in the back of the venue, where the lighting was dimmer, creating a soft, relaxing ambiance.

The shampoo service included a head massage, which was both comfortable and soothing. Once finished, I returned to my seat, and the barber styled my hair. It was a seamless, start-to-finish experience.

However, the process is very clear: there's a self-service ticket machine at the entrance with clearly categorized prices and service options. If you're unsure which service to choose, just ask the stylist about the haircut you want, and they'll kindly explain everything, which is reassuring.

I opted for the "Delicate Haircut" package. The entire process was quite fast. All packages except for a simple buzz cut include shampooing, but no massage. Considering the budget-friendly price point, this is already a great value.
