When Mandy was unsure about colors or styles, the technician didn't just say "please choose for yourself." Instead, they proactively considered Mandy's personal style, skin tone, and current trends, offering professional advice to help select the most suitable design. This friendly and professional service left a lasting impression.

The nail technique also received high praise. Mandy usually clips her nails very short before getting a manicure, which can sometimes lead to a strange sensation when the gel is applied. However, the technicians here applied the gel with such delicate precision that it adhered naturally, even to the shortest nails, without feeling thick or uncomfortable, and without compromising the gel's longevity.

Mandy also recommends adding on hand and foot care services to address common issues like calluses and cuticles in one go. Foot callus removal, in particular, can be tricky and hard to clean thoroughly at home. R.Beauty first uses a machine to remove most of the calluses, then refines the area with a foot file to ensure all dead skin and old keratin are completely gone, finishing with a moisturizing cream for repair. This not only leaves fingertips looking bright but also makes hands and feet soft and delicate.

Throughout the process, the nail artist patiently answered all questions regarding design details, color choices, and nail care, sharing many practical tips. This made the experience more than just beautifying her fingertips; it also helped her maintain healthier, more beautiful nails that remained in excellent condition even after removal. This is a significant plus for anyone who values both nail health and aesthetics.

What stood out most during the nail service was the venue's meticulous attention to customer comfort. The application time, excluding removal, was exactly 90 minutes as estimated online. This is fantastic for anyone who needs to schedule other appointments before or after.

Their fan page updates monthly with current gel nail designs, offering eight styles at two price points. You can even change the colors, making it easy to choose a design that still reflects your personal style. Plus, the nail technicians are generous with the builder gel, ensuring your gel nails are thick and durable.

The only minor point was that the basic care process was slightly less meticulous, resulting in a small cut on the thumb. However, the technician immediately disinfected it and provided aftercare instructions, so the overall experience remained excellent.

Beyond its open layout, Cloudia Nails features wooden flooring, requiring a slipper change upon entry. The decor is stylish yet approachable, creating an overall warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Inside the studio, two large tables are dedicated to gel manicures. The distance between the two seats is generous, ensuring privacy. Each oversized workstation is equipped with two curing lamps, one on either side—a rare setup that provides a dedicated lamp for each hand.

The venue also includes a transparent glass-enclosed room with two sofa chairs, reserved for pedicures.

Overall, what impressed Circe most about Cloudia Nails was the nail technician's skill. They patiently addressed damaged areas and meticulously refined nail shapes, ensuring the gel nails looked perfect and stayed put.

Another highlight was the option for color blocking. Most Taipei Nail Salons typically offer solid-color gel nails, with perhaps one accent color (meaning two polish colors). However, Cloudia Nails allows for two accent colors with their solid-color gel nails, all at no extra charge. This gives you three colors to create many exciting variations, which Circe found to be incredibly good value!

Additionally, the venue has two very friendly mother-and-son resident cats. They'll rub against your feet while you're getting your nails done, and they're happy to be held for photos, even by first-time clients. It's a perfect spot for cat lovers.

Introduction

Cynthia Nails Spa is located on Zhongxiao East Road, in an office building less than a three-minute walk from Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT Station.

While the building itself is a bit older, the nail salon's interior features a modern industrial style with gray walls and extensive wood accents. The space is compact but feels very comfortable overall. There are six seats for manicures, with fabric armchairs that remain comfortable even for extended periods, plus three pedicure stations.

Cynthia Nails Spa primarily offers manicure, pedicure, and nail care services. Men are welcome for nail care services, though an additional fee applies. After booking via LINE and linking your information, you can earn points with each visit for future discounts, without needing a membership card.

Each month, the salon announces five or six special gel nail designs on its Facebook page. These include everything from cute styles to sophisticated, edgy looks, available for both hands and feet at the same price.

Jo chose the monthly special gel nails, serviced by the assistant manager. After confirming the design for each nail, the process began.

The initial nail shaping, cuticle care, and buffing took about 40 minutes and were done with great care. Next, the base coat was applied, with the curing lamp conveniently located in a table drawer, allowing for alternating light exposure after one or two nails were completed. The nail artist was very friendly; when confirming the design, she noted that Jo's first two right-hand nails were shorter and suggested concentrating the special patterns on the remaining three fingers.

For dog lovers, Cynthia Nails Spa offers a delightful surprise: the venue's dog, Abao, warmly greets guests. Watching Abao run around and jump onto chairs during the nail art process makes the experience anything but boring!

However, perhaps because the cuticle care was exceptionally thorough, Jo experienced a slight stinging sensation when her two fingers touched water after the treatment, prompting her to apply liquid bandage at home. If you are sensitive to pain or frequently come into contact with water, you might want to ask them not to clean too deeply during your nail appointment.
