These high standards are meant to ensure travelers have a basic safety awareness even before booking. When choosing water activities like freediving, snorkeling, or SUP, beyond comparing prices, itineraries, and photos, we recommend actively confirming the following:

• Professional qualifications of the lead staff: Verify that the instructors actually leading the activity hold the corresponding professional water certifications and are qualified lifeguards.
• Validity of certifications: Completing rescue training doesn't automatically grant lifeguard certification, and lifeguard certifications also have renewal and expiration requirements. You can further confirm if the certifications are valid.
• Activity-related insurance: Confirm whether the venue has purchased relevant water recreation activity insurance based on the nature of the activity, and whether the coverage period includes your actual experience date.

Langyu Qianxing's safety management begins the moment you complete your reservation. Guests are required to fill out relevant information in advance to finalize insurance and confirm wetsuit and fin sizes. On the day of the activity, the instructor arrives early to check the wave conditions and reconfirm the actual water conditions with the boat operator or local partners.

The first dive site is the highly anticipated underwater lavender forest. Vast expanses of purple coral stretch out underwater, looking incredibly dreamy even from the surface. When sunlight pierces through the clouds and illuminates the seabed, it creates beams of light dancing among the purple corals, a sight even more beautiful than imagined.

However, the first dive was also the most challenging for Susan. Although she had previous diving experience, it had been a while since her last dive. When she re-entered the water, she struggled several times with ear discomfort, preventing her from reaching her desired depth. Yet, she really wanted to capture a closer shot of the lavender coral, so she had to adjust and try again and again.

Throughout the process, the instructor never rushed her, patiently accompanying her through repeated attempts until she finally captured the shot she wanted. For fellow travelers with no prior diving experience, the first dive was clearly a period of adjustment to the ocean. Aside from Susan and one other experienced diver, many were initially a bit scared, which made the progress at subsequent dive sites even more noticeable.

The second dive site became Susan's favorite stop of the entire trip. She had initially been a bit afraid of sea creatures and never imagined she'd actively approach them, but that day she not only touched soft coral but even felt a sea cucumber — a miracle in her book!

Even more interesting was watching the other beginners. Everyone was visibly nervous during the first dive, but by the second, their desire to explore the underwater scenery and get closer to the marine life spurred a sudden leap in their learning speed. Practicing together and overcoming their fears as a group made for a truly memorable experience on this Penghu Diving trip.

The third dive was a completely different experience: we changed into mermaid tails for an underwater photoshoot. I was a little worried about my stiff movements and not knowing where to put my hands and feet underwater, but thankfully the instructor gave direct suggestions on how to pose. Before each pose, the instructor would confirm if I was willing to try it, then explain the next steps. So even with no prior underwater photography experience, I didn't have to guess at poses in the water. The instructor adjusted my movements and angles based on the actual situation, so we didn't need to do many repeated dives to get beautiful mermaid photos.

After a full day of firsthand experience, one of the most striking features for Susan was the sense of security, something not always evident in photos. Even with a mix of beginners, experienced divers, couples, and solo travelers on the same day, everyone's needs were still well-attended.

When an instructor was focused on one student or group, other participants were directed to a relatively safe area. Before using equipment like underwater scooters or SUPs, which can easily take you away from the boat, the activity boundaries were thoroughly explained, and throughout the process, the instructors continuously checked that everyone remained within sight and a safe range.

If anyone breaks the rules, the instructors really do get serious; they won't turn a blind eye to safety regulations just because everyone's out to have fun. From instructor qualifications, on-site flags, and water regulations, to actual personnel control once you're in the water, you can feel Langyu Qianxing's emphasis on "safety first."

Finally, there was an unexpected highlight: Levi, the venue's dog! Although Susan had dived many times before, this was her first time taking a boat out to sea with a dog. During surface intervals, she could relax on the boat with Levi, enjoying the sea breeze and sunshine. It became an unexpected and therapeutic memory from her trip, and it helped her understand the appeal of Langyu Qianxing's pet-friendly tours.
