At 奐奐 HWÀN, you can experience glass mosaic DIY firsthand, crafting your own unique Showa-style item from start to finish. You'll choose your glass, cut, solder, and polish it, step by step. Beyond wax melt lamps, you can also opt to make accessories or necklaces. It's a super fun and rewarding experience, and you get to take home a cute, retro finished product! The moment you turn on your wax melt lamp and illuminate the glass, the unique light, shadow, and warmth of the Showa era will transport you back in time.

Another iconic element of the Showa era is the classic kissaten culture, with its wooden decor, warm yellow lighting, vintage tableware, and, ideally, a delicious pudding! 秋波名曲珈琲 perfectly recreates the Showa-era vibe; from the exterior to every corner inside, you can feel the thoughtful design.

The food and drinks are also top-notch! The coffee, cream soda, and pudding are all delightful. Tucked away in a Dihua Street alley in Dadaocheng, Showa Roman Sentakuya is the sister venue to the popular Showa Roman Ice Cream Parlor. This specialty soft-serve venue, themed as a retro Japanese laundromat, breathes new life into a restored 1937 heritage building, blending desserts with a nostalgic sense of history. Its exterior retains the old laundromat's corrugated metal gable roof, vintage window grilles, and red-and-white fabric curtains, making you feel as if you've stepped into a Showa-era street corner the moment you enter.

The venue specializes in a variety of sophisticated soft-serve flavors, including Hokkaido milk, whiskey chocolate, and seasonal mango, complemented by retro-style puddings, dango, and other delightful desserts. Though small, the space is rich in detail, featuring a Japanese vending machine, a nostalgic cash register, and washing machine-shaped signage, making it a favorite photo spot for culture enthusiasts, dessert lovers, and photography buffs.
