Before the treatment began, the therapist Hana asked Lin to change into a strapless beauty gown in the private room. There was a locker inside for her clothes and valuables, and Hana would re-enter only after Lin was ready to start the day's session.

The experience begins with a foot spa and exfoliation. Lin, who is ticklish, was initially apprehensive, but Hana consistently checked the water temperature and pressure, which put her at ease. Although Lin was covered with a towel, Hana noticed her hands and feet were getting cold from the air conditioning and proactively asked if she wanted the temperature adjusted. This attentiveness to the customer's comfort during the massage was truly thoughtful.

Next, you'll turn over for a shoulder and neck massage, back rub, and hand and foot massage. Hana, the therapist, started by using a kneeling pressure technique to relax my entire body. I could feel some of my muscles loosening up, with a slight soreness but no actual pain. Hana also made sure to remind me to speak up if I felt any discomfort.

After relaxing the muscles, it's time for a shoulder, neck, and back massage. Lin chose lavender essential oil for the day, and the subtle, soothing aroma during the oil massage was incredibly relaxing.

Lin's favorite part was the black jade hot stone treatment. The hot stones balance the body's energy, allowing tense muscles and meridians to relax completely in comfortable warmth, while the therapist simultaneously massages the hands and feet and wraps unmassaged areas in hot towels. The whole body feels wonderfully warm and cozy.

The beauty bed is like a Transformer, shifting through three configurations for foot, body, and then head relaxation. The therapist seamlessly adjusts it without interrupting your treatment. The latter half of the session begins with a facial — makeup removal, cleansing, jade gua sha, facial massage, and a mask. Steam infused with a warm herbal scent rises from beneath your head; these are natural herbal sachets personally blended by founder Helen.

As the facial mask works its magic, you'll enjoy a relaxing head massage, hydrotherapy, and a wash-and-condition. The hydrotherapy boosts circulation in your scalp, which is great for hair growth. It might feel a little ticklish at first, but the soothing sound of the water quickly makes you forget about it. During the hair wash, they'll also do a bubble ear wash. This might surprise you if you're not used to it, but you'll quickly settle into comfort. After the ear wash comes ear candling, where you'll smell something burning and hear a crackling sound, like a sparkler. It's a truly unique experience!

After all the treatments, you'll feel completely refreshed, just like waking up from a deep, restful sleep!
