Taichung Itinerary for IntrovertsA slow-paced route just for introverts: 4 must-visit spots for relaxation and delicious eats
Taichung is a very friendly city for introverts who enjoy self-reflection and quiet experiences, offering many hidden corners perfect for solo exploration. Whether it's a quaint indie café, a hands-on workshop, or a rich, delicious meal, you can slowly discover the city's charm without interruption.

First Stop: Ojiro Curry

Our first stop is Kojiro Curry, where the beef curry is incredibly tender and juicy. Paired with rich black curry sauce and a perfectly fried egg, every bite is a satisfying explosion of flavor. You can even get free refills on rice, so big eaters don't have to worry about leaving hungry. Add a refreshing salted lemon soda to cut through the richness, and you've got a truly fulfilling and comforting meal.
The venue's interior features a subtle, retro-chic design that's both compact and distinctive. The bar seating, in particular, feels like a ray of sunshine! It's especially well-suited for introverts dining alone, allowing you to enjoy your meal and watch the kitchen in action without feeling awkward.

Second Stop: AURA crystal

Unlike extroverts, introverts recharge by connecting with themselves, so our second stop was AURA crystal for a custom crystal bracelet experience! What makes this activity special is that the instructor first uses your life path number to help you understand your personality and needs. Then, you select crystals that suit you best to create a unique bracelet. This not only helps fill in missing aspects and elements in your life but also uses the crystals' energy to bring a sense of calm.
The instructor was incredibly friendly, explaining the characteristics and uses of each crystal in detail. The entire process was relaxed and enjoyable, making it a perfect moment of self-reflection for introverts — both relaxing and healing, truly a Me Time experience!

Stop 3: Yu Yu Cafe

Our third stop is Yu Yu Cafe, a cozy little venue tucked away in an alley. With its soft lighting and available power outlets, it’s the perfect spot to work, read, or scroll through your phone undisturbed. The customers here are generally quiet and focused on their own tasks, making it ideal for introverts who appreciate a peaceful atmosphere.
The freshly made Kinshachi-yaki is wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the coffee and tea drinks are all excellent—definitely worth trying! Overall, it’s a perfectly quiet urban corner that introverts will love.

Stop 4: Youxi Ramen

Before you wrap up your trip, make a stop at Youxi Ramen for dinner. The venue is cozy but spacious enough, with tables spaced comfortably for solo diners. This ramen venue specializes in chicken paitan broth; the salted broth is light and not overly thick. Halfway through your meal, you can squeeze in a kumquat to instantly change the flavor and add another layer of taste! You can also get free noodle or rice refills, so the portions are very generous.
There's no better way to end the day than enjoying a hot bowl of ramen while watching a show with your headphones on.
