Fuyi Orchard uses grass cultivation, avoiding herbicides. The orchard maintains natural grass and native ecology, offering a glimpse into the authentic, untamed beauty of a mountain-line fruit farm.

You might even spot free-range chickens roaming about, and the air carries a delightful mix of earthy soil and citrus. This environment feels less like a manicured tourist farm and more like a genuine slice of rural life.

On the way to the fruit-picking area, you'll pass a chicken coop. You might even spot a Scottish Fold cat peacefully coexisting with the chickens — a sight that's both unexpected and charming. These little moments add a touch of rustic life to the orchard, making it more than just a place to pick fruit.

Once you step into the fruit-picking area, the most delightful surprise is the "orange tunnel" — a long row of trees, perfectly aged, their branches bowing slightly under the weight of golden fruit, almost within arm's reach.

Even children can easily snip their own oranges without needing to be lifted. The golden hue extends along both sides of the path, making every photo feel like you've wandered into an orange forest. It's a truly picturesque and therapeutic scene.

The orchard rules are clearly stated:

• No admission fee
• Pay by weight for what you pick
• No eating while picking

Since we'd already sampled the fruit, we focused on carefully selecting the varieties we wanted to take home. If you prefer not to pick yourself, you can also buy pre-picked oranges directly from the owner, offering great flexibility.

The citrus varieties available for U-pick change with the seasons, but commonly include:

• Ruby Tangerine
• Ponkan Tangerine
• Emperor Mandarin
• Sugar Tangerine

Lemon varieties like perfume lemon and sweet lemon are also available. Prices are adjusted based on the variety and current seasonal market rates. Gift boxes and delivery services are also offered, and these are especially popular before Chinese New Year.
