Xiao Ding Dang Ski Resort小叮噹滑雪場
小叮噹滑雪場 About the Venue
IntroductionXiao Ding Dang Ski Resort is located in Xinfeng, Hsinchu. In addition to driving there, you can also take a train to Xinfeng Station and then transfer to a taxi.
Established in 2011, it is not only the top choice for skiing in Hsinchu but also the only ski resort in Taiwan with artificial snow, allowing visitors to experience realistic snow conditions.
You can rent ski jackets, pants, boots, and boards, as well as gloves and various protective gear in the equipment area. However, the equipment has been in use for some time, and most items have minor damage. It's advisable to carefully inspect rented ski pants or gloves to avoid water seepage.
The venue does not have a ski lift; it's a large slope that you can access by walking up the stairs on the side. The snow conditions are similar to a melting ski field, mostly ice crystals, making for fast speeds and a very hard surface. Safety is paramount.

iSKI Ski ClubiSKI 滑雪俱樂部
iSKI 滑雪俱樂部 About the Venue
IntroductioniSKI Ski Club is located near Lailai Soy Milk in Neihu, about a 7-minute walk from the MRT station. The venue's main feature is a large ski training machine, reportedly a newer model with faster speeds.
In addition to a simulated gondola area for practicing dismounts, there's also a slope-side restaurant, giving the venue a distinctly Japanese ski resort vibe. Among the Taipei Ski School venues, this one stands out for its thoughtful decor.
iSKI Ski Club accommodates 1-3 participants at a time. When booking, you'll need to inform them of your skiing experience so they can group you with students of a similar level. The experience lasts one hour and includes ski boots, skis, knee pads, wrist guards, and hip pads. The ski boots are lace-up, and the protective gear is new; however, larger sizes might not have suitable protective equipment, so it's best to communicate this in advance.
The cancellation policy states that cancellations within three days are non-refundable. When booking, the staff also proactively offered a discount code.

滑遍天下滑雪中心 About the Venue
IntroductionSkiing World Ski Center, located across from Tzu Chi Hospital at Dapinglin Station in Xindian, is currently the only Taipei Ski School not located in Neihu.
This venue offers a comprehensive range of simulation equipment, including two ski training machines (large sloped ramps) of different sizes and one ski simulator with a screen that mimics side-to-side movement.
The ski experience primarily utilizes the training machines, and the fee includes a snowboard, boots, and back protector. The boots are a pull-cord style, and the protective gear is new and available in a full range of sizes. Skiing World Ski Center's lessons are a minimum of 25 minutes long, with a maximum of 1-2 students per class. The slopes are relatively moist, and the instructors have extensive skiing experience.
In addition to the instructors, the venue has a larger service team, with 5-6 staff members at the counter and assisting, all of whom offer advice and help simultaneously and are very friendly. It's worth noting that their refund policy is quite flexible, allowing for a 50% refund even for same-day cancellations.

Taipei Ski School台北滑雪學校
台北滑雪學校 About the Venue
IntroductionTaipei Ski School is near Neihu's Ever Rich Duty Free Shop, but there's no public transportation nearby, and you'll need time to change, so plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
Taipei Ski School is one of the oldest indoor ski venues in Taipei, featuring a large ski training machine. The venue itself is quite simple, with virtually no other equipment besides the training machine.
The experience lasts one hour and includes ski boots, skis, knee pads, wrist guards, and hip pads. The ski boots are an older lace-up style, so you'll need a bit of practice to get them properly tightened.
The ski experience class is not easy to find on the official website; you'll need to inquire and arrange a time via their Facebook page. Classes fill up quickly, so it's best to book in advance. You can also gather four people for a more discounted group experience.

Craftzy Sports Club 卡夫契運動俱樂部 About the Venue
IntroductionCraftzy Sports Club is a Taipei Ski School located in Neihu, near Miramar Entertainment Park, just a 7-minute walk from the MRT station.
Unlike other Taipei Ski School venues, this one uses a ski simulator. You experience side-to-side gliding in front of a large VR screen, controlling your movements by tilting your body.
Craftzy Sports Club has its own ski equipment brand, and the venue's ski boots, with their dial-in closures, are exceptionally new and well-designed, ranking among the best quality at any Taiwan ski venue. There's also fitness equipment available, and all facilities are new and well-maintained. A sofa waiting area with complimentary coffee and tea is also provided.
The experience lasts one hour and is for one person at a time. The fee includes ski boots but no protective gear. Since the ski simulator makes sudden falls unlikely, protective gear isn't really necessary. Arriving 10 minutes early is plenty of time. The instructor was friendly, talkative, and provided excellent guidance.

Final Thoughts
This concludes our Taipei Ski School recommendations. Twosevenths mystery shoppers personally visited seven Taipei Ski School venues.
When booking your ski lesson, remember to describe your skill level as accurately as possible so the instructor can better tailor the session. The friction and feel of a simulated slope are slightly different from real snow, demanding even more precise movements. Also, ski schools have fixed class schedules, so arrive 20 minutes early to change and avoid cutting into your valuable on-machine time.
Skiing requires practice; it's tiring for beginners but becomes incredibly rewarding. Once you've learned the basics, if you're looking for a place to hit the actual slopes, check out our Tokyo Ski Resort Guide for a complete overview of popular ski venues near Tokyo.
