Senbo Climbing Gym森波攀岩場
森波攀岩場 About the Venue
IntroductionSenbo Climbing Gym, near Taichung's Central Park, offers a diverse setup with an island-style bouldering area and top-rope walls to meet the needs of climbers at all levels. This Taichung indoor climbing venue provides suitable challenge routes for both beginners and advanced climbers.
The venue's centerpiece is an island-style bouldering area, featuring wall angles from gentle slabs to steep overhangs, with routes designed to test balance, coordination, and dynamic movement. For training, there's also a number wall and a fixed 40-degree Moon Board available for climbers.
In addition to the Taichung bouldering area, the venue also has three top-rope walls, each approximately 10 meters high. Two of these walls are equipped with auto-belay devices, making them convenient for solo practice or first-time experiences, while the third is for climbers familiar with manual belaying.
Admission grants access to both bouldering and top-rope facilities. If you don't have your own gear, climbing shoes and harnesses are available for rent. The venue also includes men's and women's changing rooms, showers, and a sofa lounge area, with a stretching zone on the second floor—making for a comprehensive facility.
Parking for cars and scooters is available right outside the venue, and paid parking lots are within a 5-minute walk. Ticket options include single-entry and various multi-pass packages, which can be inquired about on-site. Payment is primarily cash.

B-plus 攀岩館 About the Venue
IntroductionFor Taichung Rock Climbing, the B-plus Climbing Gym on Huanzhong Road is the oldest venue, offering a rich bouldering experience. This gym was founded by a group of climbing enthusiasts, evolving from a basement space in 2013 to become a starting point for many climbers.
The original Huanzhong venue features a 4-meter-high bouldering wall at its core, surrounded by about ten color-coded walls with over a hundred climbing routes. The gym operates on a non-membership basis and provides a free water dispenser, making it very welcoming for first-time visitors looking to try these experiences.
In addition to the original venue, B-plus Climbing Gym opened a Taiyuan branch in 2023, providing a new option for indoor climbing enthusiasts in Taichung. Compared to the original venue, the Taiyuan branch has fewer walls but offers a brighter and more spacious overall environment.
The Taiyuan branch also offers many children's climbing classes, catering to different age groups. For families looking to introduce their children to climbing, this is an excellent place to start.

Panna Climbing Gym攀吶攀岩館
攀吶攀岩館 About the Venue
IntroductionPanna Climbing Gym, located in Taichung's East District behind the train station, is a Taichung Rock Climbing and bouldering venue built into a multi-story house. Its unique arch bridge terrain is quite rare in Taiwan, and routes are regularly changed to meet the needs of climbers of all levels.
The venue spans two floors. The front wall on the first floor is minimalist, featuring competition-level routes and beanbag chairs for resting. The back section offers an inclined climbing wall and the distinctive arch bridge terrain. The spatial design of this Taichung indoor climbing venue creates clear functional divisions between different areas.
The second floor has a lounge area, a large slab wall, and a MoonBoard for training. There's also a low wall often used for beginner instruction, providing a comprehensive Taichung Rock Climbing experience. While the route design leans towards beginner and intermediate levels, there's also a "frustration zone" for advanced climbers and dedicated climbing routes for children.
Panna Climbing Gym's special children's area also makes it a great choice for family activities. It's worth noting that the gym can get quite stuffy in the summer, and there's no water dispenser on-site, so be sure to bring enough drinking water when you come to climb.

Dapro室內攀岩場 About the Venue
IntroductionDapro Indoor Climbing, located in Taichung's Nantun District, offers Taichung Rock Climbing enthusiasts a diverse range of options with its 15-meter difficulty wall—the tallest indoor wall in Taichung—and auto-belay systems. Opened in 2018, this venue features five main walls designed to meet the needs of climbers at all skill levels.
Inside, you'll find two 4.5-meter bouldering walls, perfect for bouldering training in Taichung. There's also a 9-meter difficulty wall, a 15-meter difficulty wall, and a speed wall, providing a comprehensive range of routes from beginner to advanced. This variety ensures that climbers of all levels can find a suitable challenge.
A key feature of the venue is its four "auto-belay" devices, the only ones of their kind in Taichung, allowing experienced climbers to practice independently without a belayer. The wall also includes a rock platform where climbers can sit and take photos after completing a climb, creating a special memento of their Taichung Rock Climbing experience.
Beyond the climbing facilities, the venue also includes a retail area, a seating lounge, and a water dispenser. The small bar not only sells beverages but also offers beer, making it one of the few Taichung Rock Climbing venues that combines sports and leisure in a multi-functional space.
