No-Spoilers Review: The Mad Pursuit

“Mad Pursuit” is one of those Taipei Escape Rooms that sounds scary just from the name, and it truly demands that you “escape” — your success hinges entirely on your courage.

Tessa and three friends recently pushed their limits with this one. As someone who avoids horror movies and haunted houses, Tessa nearly gave up several times when separated from her companions, almost surrendering to the shadowy pursuers.

✦There's no chance of asking for help.

When the Bendian Studio Hsinchu venue angel explained that "Mad Pursuit" was the only Taipei Escape Rooms experience with absolutely no opportunities to ask for hints, our hearts skipped a beat!

But there's no need to be too afraid. We heard the escape rate is less than 20%, so there's no pressure — you won't be alone. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more challenging escape room game, you definitely can't miss "Mad Pursuit."

✦Lighting and Music Create a Thrilling Atmosphere

The lighting and music in this Taipei Escape Room are perfectly matched, and the shadow figure times the puzzle reveals precisely, forcing players to rely on fragmented moments and courage to escape. The difficulty is truly high!

✦The puzzles aren't hard, but fear makes players stupid.

While the puzzles in "Crazy Pursuit" aren't inherently difficult, the experience transforms entirely when the lights shift, eerie music swells, teammates vanish, and violent crashes echo through the venue. These elements relentlessly chip away at players' courage.

Tessa, playing an escape room for the first time, found the experience too long and wished the 45 minutes would end sooner.

Although our group of four didn't manage to escape the cabin, we still felt a strong sense of accomplishment. Every challenge was overcome by us and our teammates, who bravely pushed through their trembling fear to solve the puzzles!

The puzzles aren't hard, but fear makes players stupid.
